NEWS FLASH

Skopje Airport has rolled out a new Fast Track Service, enabling passengers to skip queues at security screening and passport control. The service is available for all Visa Premium card holders, who will be required to swipe their card at the fast track gates at security and passport control in order to skip the lines. “Fast Track Service introduction at Skopje International Airport is yet another advantage for passengers, since as an airport operator, TAV Airports believes that time is the most precious currency for our travellers. Our aim is to present a unique set of benefits that will give Visa Premium card holders extra freedom, flexibility, and reassurance“.

Nice! They don't have this at PRN so it will make SKP even more attractive for potential passengers.

TAV is really doing a beautiful job in SKP.

Yes they will drive 1h so that they can skip the queue at PRN. Well done

Well, they are going to skip the queues so as to get to their cheap fares even faster. We all know that reiseburo mafia controls the situation in PRN.

Useless. There are hardly any waiting at passport or security at SKP. This is just an excuse to charge Visa Premium users, if any of them is stupid enough to use this. Just about any EU airport has a longer waiting lines then SKP (Stockholm's Arlanda was a nightmare, at least in July 2022. Worst airport experience in my life.)

They should install these for the arrivals, its not that busy at the departure desks.

When only one plane lands. You dont know the situation when there are four or five planes arriving at the same time in SKP. Around 1000 people and only four open desks for passport control.

I know it and I stil think its very smooth compared to EU airports

Well in EU airports with EU passport you will pass for 5 minutes.

EU passport holders should be allowed quick access with minimum checks, like Schengen borders do.
Then the remaining passengers would have more desks open for their passport control and smaller ques.

@10.55 yes but at SKP both EU and non-Eu passport holders pass equally fast

Maybe in your case. There have been times when i had been waiting for more then an hour cause we all love to do anything but to work and mind our own business.

I see none of those commenting actually read the article. It's only for Visa Premium bank card holders.

That's also what I was thinking, VISA logos are on the floor, on the scanner etc. Doesn't look like a service for business class passengers or FQTVs (although not sure if there are any business class products at SKP).

    What are Visa Premium Cards?
Is this also valid only for cards issued in SE Europe?

It’s the VISA Platinum or VISA Gold Card, and yes you can get it in SouthEastern Europe. For example, if you are in Macedonia you can apply for it in Halkbank.

and now we know why... Halkbank is present at the airport :)

Be aware their exchange office in arrivals has the worst rate in the whole country. Do not bother!

Unsure it will be used that frequently. SKP has a huge LCC traffic and not that busy to have this service used. Anyway, not bad after all.

If we use cheap flights that doesnt mean that we are all poor here and dont have money to spend.

We don't need a pointless toy in Skopje but a new airport in Ohrid with good and numerous connections to the west, especially to Switzerland.

How about fixing the bus to the city which runs once every 3 hours??! In every normal county this interval is between 10-30 minutes apart, and certainly NOT 3 hours!
