NEWS FLASH

The Bankruptcy Administrator overseeing the liquidation of Montenegro’s former flag carrier Montenegro Airlines has sold one of its five Fokker 100 jets, formerly registered 4O-AOM. The 33-year-old aircraft is the only of the five that is still in an operational state. According to the “Vijesti” daily, the aircraft has been acquired by Kenya’s Skyward Express. Over the past month it underwent technical checks and repainting and has since been delivered to its new owner in Nairobi. Despite its advanced age, the jet underwent a C-check in 2019, during which Montenegro Airlines invested a million euros in its comprehensive maintenance, including components, systems, and structures. Montenegro Airlines declared bankruptcy in late December 2020. Previously, the Bankruptcy Administrator managed to sell two Montenegro Airlines F100s, registered 4O-AOL and 4O-AOP, one to a Dutch jet engine trader and the other to a Serbian company.

Very uncomfortable planes. I disliked flying with them.

I liked more the space in Fokker 100 than the space in the old JAT/Air Serbia ATR72's.
