Croatia Airlines’ A220 enters into service

Croatia Airlines’ first of fifteen Airbus A220 aircraft will enter into commercial today, between Zagreb and Split, a day before the carrier celebrates its 35th anniversary. The 149-seat aircraft will operate its first international flight tomorrow, between Zagreb and Frankfurt. The full deployment for August and September can be found in the tables below, however, changes remain likely. A second A220 is set to join in late November or early December. In total, the Croatian carrier will operate thirteen A220-300s and two 127-seat A220-100 jets. The aircraft are fitted in a two by three configuration and include USB ports and WiFi connectivity.

    What is a catch with 149 seats, one blocked at rear middle row? By the pictures, aircraft has 150 seats installed.

      You can see that on a row 31, one seat is missing, butin the exyu photo, you can clearly see it's there. so it has to be regulatory issue similar to what ann 10:56 talked about?

      Nope. It goes one flight attendant per 50 passengers. So it is the same if there are 149 or 150 seats, still 3 FA are needed.

      Also as far as I have seen so far, Delta Airlines has one seat less on the emergency exit row. Maybe it is the same with OU since it is clear on the photo that the last row has all five seats in it.

    It's weird to see 2-3 seat configuration. USB ports are really needed upgrade, something other airlines should follow as well.

      I've flown A220s twice now on the LJU-RIX route. You really don't notice it onboard

      I've flown the A220 30+ times by now and I can attest that it's the most comfortable short-haul plane out there BY FAR. In addition to USB charging ports, big windows, WiFi and spacious overhead bins, it combines the benefits of a 2-2 seat configuration with the overhead space of a 3-3 aircraft. Port side window seat is one of the best Economy experiences one can have nowadays.

      @Vlad - completely disagree. The A220 is yes comfortable in terms of layout, but very noisy. The A320/1neo series is WAY more quiet.

      Yes because the route in summer is very busy , more then 10k pax in one month is enough good to send the new plane to SKP of course. Now it is served mix of 319-320

      Over 10k per month?? You sure? That's a really huge figure! Did not expect that many pax on this route. I thought there was only 1 daily flight on this route. So they increase it over summer?

      There is never only one daily flight on the route. In Winter there are 11-12 weekly and in summer 8-9 but with A319s and mostly A320s.

      The articles here show available capacity (number of seats of available for purchase), not passenger numbers. OU has low load factors.

    Maybe..I lived in a high rise building on the east coast of usa and they do not have 13 floor in 15 story building amd others as well. Mine was 1 to 12, then 14 to 16. It's kinda weird at first, but realtorsaid it was unlucky #13.

      Yeah, that's very usual in the States. Hotels I was staying at also didn't have a 13th floor, nor room No.13
