NEWS FLASH

Airlines and airports across the former Yugoslavia will be taking part at the upcoming 29th Routes World development forum in Bahrain between October 6 and 8. Over 185 carriers are expected to attend the event and engage in conversations with airports and travel stakeholders to negotiate the launch of new routes or the expansion of existing services for next year. Attendance at the event among aviation stakeholders from the former Yugoslavia has so far been confirmed by Air Serbia, Belgrade Airport, Dubrovnik Airport, ETF Airways, Ohrid Airport, Skopje Airport, Zadar Airport, and Zagreb Airport.

Well they have no desire to fly anywhere outside Europe so it makes sense.

It is not prestigious as Routes Europe. We need only hi end lucrative tourists.

^ You are an absolute idiot. Routes organizes both Routes Europe and Routes World and Routes World is in fact the most prestigious of their events.

I would think that LJU management would be the first in line to send someone there, judging by their dire situation. I hope someone goes there.

Don't worry! They are in talks with a lot of airlines: Austrian, Brussels, Lufthansa, Lufthansa City, Lufthansa Cargo, AeroLogic, Discover, Eurowings, Eurowings Europe, Air Dolomiti, Lufthansa Cityline, Swiss, Edelweiss, SunExpress, ITA and possibly TAP. Other airlines don't fit into their model, they said that multiple times.

Airports of Serbia attended Routes Europe this spring, which for them I think is appropriate. These conferences are very costly to attend and it would make sense that they would attend the European one and not the global one.

Prolly less costy then to build that huge terminal only to have it sitting empty most of the days and being used for political propaganda.

This make sense because new minister for Transport in Macedonia is preparing new tender with changed rules , and the one is that like before only Europe airlines could apply on it , now any airline can apply there is no limit from where they are , expect the tender be shared this days , I hope the admin will follow up that news !!!
