Hainan Airlines handled 24.388 passengers on its flights between Beijing and Belgrade during the first half of the year with an average cabin load factor of 80.4% for the duration of the six-month period. The carrier runs two weekly flights between the two capitals. Between January and June, all were operated with the carrier’s A330-300 aircraft. The airline deployed its 292-seat jet on the route, with exception to one return service which was maintained by the 281-seat configured aircraft due to a different business class product.

DeleteMaybe so, if we count the whole plane being single-type full economy layout. But given that there is a sizable business class onboard, it covers up the expenses nicely.
Delete80.4% shows that 80.4% of the seats are purchased and presumably that was the actual % of passengers. So 4 out of 5 seats were taken by a customer. We don't know their profit or loss per seat. Anyone have that information?

Delete80% LF is not fantastic, but far better than falling. Considering that the Australia/NZ markets have no connections on this route, that would improve the LF.

ReplyDeleteLet me play devil's advocate for all the negativity so common in the Balkans: 20 percent of the seats were empty. Horrible. This service should end immediately. Maybe Air Serbia can fill the void. Oh wait. Air Serbia does not have enough planes and they are late all the time.
