NEWS FLASH

Air Montenegro is seeking to wet-lease a single Embraer E190 or E195 aircraft with the capacity to seat between 100 and 118 passengers primarily for the 2025 summer season. The carrier has issued a tender for the best bid. The jet will be utilised between February 1 and October 31 of next year on flights between Montenegro and Belgrade, Ljubljana, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Bratislava, Prague, Brno, Rome, Istanbul, Izmir, Paris, Nantes, Lyon, Baku and Yerevan. The most favourable bid should provide the lowest lease per block hour and per diem. The payment schedule will be bi-weekly, according to the tender documents. Air Montenegro currently maintains operations with its two own E195 jets. It will wet-lease an Airbus A320 from Trade Air on a short-term basis this winter while one of its Embraers is undergoing scheduled maintenance. A wet-lease is a leasing arrangement whereby the lessor provides an aircraft, complete crew, maintenance and insurance (ACMI) to another airline.

The most useless airline. High fares, no interlining, no codeshares, no possibility to buy connecting flights and now obviously no expansion next year.

12.08 they are profitable where? They reported a loss in first half of the year and their passenger numbers fell too.

Yeah that was an article from January with their dreams. But it didn't go that way. Anzur himself was fired.

True, unfortunately. I had high hopes when they started, plans and new branding were really good etc. However, it soon started to be fishy as their first CEO, Todorovic, ran away from the airline really quick. It was a sign that some things remain the same over there. He had some good plans and ideas bud I guess other had more relatives and political ideas on how to have a little airline out of hobby and for money laundering. They really are useless. They have a "fleet" of two aircraft and both are rarely in service. Most likely is that you'll fly with croats and ukrainians when you book their flight. Their crew morale is spiralling downwards, service is basic and not very polite and lazy (as opposed at the beginning). You get a little water and some cookie or something and then they disappear until landing. They don't even collect the trash from the passengers, horrible. Really a huge disappointment overall. Only two things that are good in Air Montenegro - aircraft type (Embraer is an amazing, comfortable and safe aircraft) and the livery.

I wonder if they'll add any new E2s to their fleet in the near future. Their growth is slow, yet steady, so I'm assuming they could dry lease a few

With what money? Although cheaper (and imo better than the A220), E2 is still a relatively new and expensive bird for such a small carrier even on a dry lease. It would require a massive annual investment from their government which will never in their life do it.

1616, much better than A220? Waiting lists tell a different story.
