NEWS FLASH

British Airways will not resume its seasonal flights between London Heathrow and Pula next summer. The airline has confirmed the termination of the weekly rotation, which operated between May and September last year using a mix of Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft. British Airways has been serving Pula since 2017. The carrier will continue operations to Zagreb, Split, and Dubrovnik in Croatia in 2025.

They are increased in pre- and post-season, but in top-season they are decreased.

A pity and not understandable. Istria is a touristic hotspot, especially after they hve invested so much into their hotel infrastructure.

Brits are looking for better value for money. Spain and Greece increase in popularity as a result.

Losing one weekly flight from British Airways is absolutely of no relevance to tourism in Istria.

Incorrect. A weekly flight, becomes several times a week then on to daily is a significant boost to tourism. Going the other as said by the poster isn’t. Look at lju, started a few years back with 2 flights a week in summer

@12:27 your comment is absurd. The loss is 1 flight a week for three months a year. And you're talking about daily flights??

Loosing a legacy carrier is not good. Perhaps BA could give ZAD a go on a Saturday or Sunday.

Sadly many more Airlines that cater mainly for tourists will be cutting flights to Croatia very soon. The country has become far too expensive to afford to go and visit. The government needs to cut P.D.V tax down and get inflation under control. Joining the Euro currency has made things even worse. I don't know how Croatian citizens can afford to live there?

I don't mind spending money, but you get very little value in Croatia. Greece, Spain, Portugal, even France offer a better value holiday.

Then do not go to Croatia. It is actually very simple.
