NEWS FLASH
United Airlines will extend its seasonal summer service between Newark and Dubrovnik until the end of the 2025 summer season. Initially, the carrier planned to maintain operations until September 25. As reported by “Aeroroutes”, the flights will now continue to run until October 24. While the service will be maintained daily until September 25, four weekly rotations will be operated thereafter until the end of the season. As previously reported by EX-YU Aviation News, Dubrovnik Airport has been in negotiations for United to extend its Dubrovnik service. The US carrier handled 29.444 passengers on the route this year, with a high average cabin load factor of 89.8%. Next year it will operate daily flights to Rudjer Bošković Airport for the first time. The carrier will utilise its 231-seat Boeing 767-400 aircraft on the route.
Impressive!
ReplyDeleteIt's great news for Dubrovnik and the region for tourism and business.
DeleteHopefully it grows and they grow
What region? Not even Makarska can benefit from this, let alone some imaginary region.
DeleteUnited has been doing wonders in Dubrovnik. Maybe they come to Zagreb one day
ReplyDeleteTrue wonders are that their premium cabins at full fare have an occupancy of above 95%.
DeleteWhy they don't fly to Zagreb?
ReplyDeleteBecause their passengers are tourist who go to Dubrovnik.
DeleteThey should extend the route to Ohrid as well
ReplyDeleteAre you serious?
DeleteNice joke.
DeleteHow about to Plovdiv via Kraljevo too..
DeleteOhrid via Bishkek
DeleteMali Lošinj via Portorož
DeleteMaribor via Rijeka first
DeleteSmart decision. End of September and October are beautiful in South Dalmatia.
ReplyDeleteIt can be beautiful, but it can also be very rainy. I speak from experience since I've going there at that period since the 1960s.
DeleteFor sure. It's less crowded, slightly cheaper already, while the weather is still great...better in fact, as I do not particularly enjoy south Dalmatian heat in the peak summer months.
DeleteGreat news, OU shoud use this & start some Ex-yu to Dubrovnik flights and put code shares and offer some Usa transfer.
ReplyDeleteFor that to happen, OU would need to place it's codeshare on UA flight EWR-ZAG. However Croatia Airlines does not codeshare on any of United’s flights.
DeleteNot big problem, both are Star Alliance
DeleteHahahahahahahaha
DeleteBoth being members of the same alliance does not mean codeshares will happen. It is a problem, as it didn't happen since UA started flying to DBV. No indications it will happen now.
DeleteEveryone wants to visit beautiful Hrvatska!
ReplyDeleteLooking like 2025 will be another solid year for Croatia.
ReplyDeleteGreat for the Balkans. Too bad there are still borders between Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia, Macedonia and it takes long time to cross. Would love to spend a month in the Balkans.
ReplyDeleteIt actually doesn't take long time to cross. These are all small border crossings in Dubrovnik area where the wait is mostly around 30 minutes or less. In the off-season you can probably cross in 5 minutes or less.
Delete07:52, that is not true, I live in Dubrovnik and go to Montenegro and B&H regularly, waiting times at the border for both countries are usually more than 1 hour from June to September at least.
