NEWS FLASH

The operator of Macedonia’s two international airports, TAV Macedonia, has put into operation electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at Skopje and Ohrid airports (pictured) in partnership with the local electricity supplier, EVN Macedonia. A total of six charging points have been installed a Skopje Airport and two in Ohrid. "As TAV Airports, we are excited to launch e-vehicle charging stations as a new opportunity and convenience at Skopje and Ohrid airports. This initiative enables the growing number of e-vehicle users to recharge their e-vehicles and aligns with our commitment and core corporate value – responsibility. Nonetheless, this is further proof of our ongoing efforts to promote sustainable practices at airports where we operate. What is also important for us is that improvements like this enrich the passenger and customer experience", the CEO of TAV Macedonia, Nejat, Kurt, said.

With EVN card you still pay 25mkd/kwh, instead of 30mkd. So it's been years since it's not free anymore. With that price charging is comparable to diesel. Good way to kill the EV.

Tirana has for a very long time too. Albania is opening it's 3rd airport even tho our 2nd is not active yet but finished.

Vlora Airport must be the most modern in Balkans since it's newest of Europe, with 2 runways each 3.2km and 25,000m² terminal, and two gangways.

Nice , I am happy when see they are trying investing in new ,moderen things doesnt matter the size and what they are.👏 If we want people coming in our country we need to invest in every segment.👍 Would be nice for them to upgrade the equipment for landing , because this period airport has huge fog , or find any solution for this issue.

This is the greatest milestone that has been achieved. I welcome sensible investments, but they should also correspond to what was once promised. When will Ohrid be renovated and expanded? When will the third airport in the east be built? Why can't they manage to maintain sustainable connections to important cities and countries? Question about questions... so far no news from macedonia.

Ohrid terminal building should be renovated and expanded this year , thats what they said , so we expect soon. There will be no third airport , the money already goes for other projects.

Third airport will not be built. Concession money was redistributed for some infrastructure projects. This was actually decided couple years ago

Almost everything they promise they are doing it , only the third cargo airport , that project is cancelled couple years ago and the money relocate for government purposes.
