NEWS FLASH

Regional carrier Air Dolomiti, owned by Lufthansa, will take over the latter’s seasonal summer service between Munich and Rijeka. Flights will run once per week, as did Lufthansa’s operations last year. Air Dolomiti will deploy its 122-seat Embraer E195 aircraft on the route, on Saturdays, from May 24 until October 4. It should be noted that Air Dolomiti will run the service under its own flight numbers and designator code, meaning the route is formally not being operated on Lufthansa’s behalf. Lufthansa will continue to run a seasonal one weekly rotation between Frankfurt and Rijeka. Further flight details for Air Dolomiti's Rijeka operations can be found here.

You can't collect miles in programmes other than Miles & More (so other Star Alliance FFPs are excluded) and you get no benefits if you're *G (Star Alliance Gold). Otherwise not really.

The biggest difference is that you can buy proper Illy espresso on Air Dolomiti flights :)

I actually really like Air Dolomiti, and the Embraer is a great aircraft.
