Sarajevo Airport maintains record run

Sarajevo Airport welcomed 112.056 passengers through its doors in March, representing an increase of 35.1% on the same month last year. The number of aircraft movements increased 26.8% to 1.198. During the first quarter, Sarajevo Airport handled 333.802 travellers, representing an improvement of 41.8% on the same period in 2024, or an additional 98.310 passengers. The strong growth is set to continue into April with current scheduled capacity up 42% compared to last year.

    This year there are likely to be over 2 million passengers. There is unofficial talk that Zwizzair wants to base one aircraft, negotiations are underway.

    Still doesn’t make sense why they changed the management for orchestrating the most dramatic turnaround of any airport in ex yu. Thoughts on this?
