Zagreb Airport registers busiest day on record

Zagreb Airport saw its busiest day on record on Thursday April 17, just before the start of the Easter holiday. The airport welcomed 16.580 passengers within 24 hours. During the day, Ryanair had the most capacity with 6.946 seats, followed by Croatia Airlines with 6.396 and Lufthansa with 1.268 seats. The Croatian flag carrier had the largest volume of operations at 55, followed by Ryanair with 38, and Lufthansa with 8. Dubrovnik, Istanbul and Split had the most available capacity during the day. The busiest hour of the day was between 14:00 and 15:00, when there were eight commercial departures and five arrivals. Zagreb Airport previously saw its busiest day on June 14, 2024, when it handled 16.197 travellers.
