NEWS FLASH

Croatia Airlines has taken delivery of its third Airbus A220-300 aircraft (pictured). Registered 9A-CAL, the jet arrived in Zagreb today from Montreal via Copenhagen. It is the first to be provided by lessor Azorra, from which the Croatian carrier is sourcing a total of three units. Named “Vukovar”, the jet is expected to enter revenue service in the coming days. Similar to Croatia Airlines’ two other A220s, it has the capacity to seat 149 passengers, as well as onboard WiFi. The airline plans to take delivery of a further four A220s this year.

Commenting on the new arrival, Croatia Airlines’ CEO, Jasmin Bajić, said, “With each new aircraft, we’re able to expand our destination network and optimise our flight schedule. Five new international routes have been introduced this season, directly supporting Croatia’s tourism industry and broader national economy”. John Evans, CEO of Azorra, added, “We’re proud to support Croatia Airlines’ fleet renewal strategy and are committed to deepening our partnership as they transition to a modern, single-fleet type”. Croatia Airlines plans to have a fifteen-member, all A220 fleet, by 2027.

The 4th should be joining the fleet soon too, right?

Nice bird! All the others will be coming soon, for those asking how delayed the 4th one is. Don't worry, they are coming.

The "number of new routes" is 5. They are all seasonal and all last 3 months.
