TRIP REPORT
I recently flew from Munich to Zagreb on a Croatia Airlines Dash 8 Q400 in its business class cabin. Croatia Airlines has sent its new A220-300 on this route a couple of times, but I didn’t manage to catch it on this occasion.
Munich is one of the better airports in Germany and significantly better than Frankfurt in my opinion. I checked in quickly and there was a dedicated check-in desk for business class passengers. Croatia Airlines uses the Lufthansa lounge in Munich, which is pleasant. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos.
Our Dash 8 was waiting for us at a remote stand. It took us a good 15 minutes to get to the plane, and it was pouring rain, so we all rushed to get inside as soon as possible.
This Dash 8 had an unusual business class configuration of 10 seats. There were only three of us in the cabin. The seats were showing signs of their age but the cabin crew were quite nice.
After take off, each business class passenger received a single meal box. It was basic but it was presented nicely. The contents were modest but adequate for this short flight. Drink of choice and coffee were served in proper glass cups. You also get a wet wipe along with the box.
The only other onboard amenities included an in-flight magazines. But I must say the magazine was quite large and had a lot of content in it. Despite the limited inflight offering, the flight was smooth and service from the crew was polite and efficient.
We touched down in Zagreb five minutes ahead of schedule. Disembarkation was swift, and the airport was calm and efficient as usual.
All in all, Croatia Airlines Dash 8 business class product is basic, especially considering the fare but it serves its purpose for a short regional hop like this one. If you’re looking for comfort or luxury, this might not be the best fit, but for a quick connection, it does the job.

Do you know what the load was like in the back?
ReplyDeleteOU's business class product is a flying disaster. Those cardboard boxes are beyond shameful. Something needs to be done ASAP.
No wonder the cabin crew don't complain about management. They barely have to do anything at all.
DeleteI agree with you, that Munich airport is better then Frankfurt one.
ReplyDeleteEveryone in the world agrees on this, with the potential exception of plane spotters :)
DeleteMunich is in my humble opinion hands down one of the best airports in Europe. I had the honor to fly from a few German airports (MUC, DUS, FRA, HAJ, CGN, BER and TXL), and would therefore call Munich the best German airport. Additionally, I think it is better than airports like the Spanish and Mediterranean gem BCN.
DeleteDo you agree?
Yes, MUC is good, even one of the best in Europe
DeleteSpanish airports are very functional and good
DeleteI know it is a short flight, but J class catering is a joke
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who finds the CA Q400 unusually too loud?
ReplyDeleteI like OU. They are reliable, punctual and offer a great value for money.
ReplyDelete'Great value for money' 😂 the reviewer said the exact opposite.
DeleteI agree with 1312. You understand that these reports are subjective?
DeleteI understand. I'm glad you think a 450 euro ticket and a box of crackers is good value for money.
DeleteSurely not.
DeleteTheir economy class is great value for money though
DeleteBuzin and Središnjica in full swing. Shame on you, traitors
DeleteI like Croatia airlines.
ReplyDeleteMy god, some parts of this plastic meal package looks like dog food. What a digrace that OU is too lazy to serve meals on proper plates. Unbelieaveble........
