NEWS FLASH

Wizz Air has scheduled flights between Basel and Ohrid, which were announced earlier this year as part of the airline’s application for the launch of new subsidised routes from Macedonia. Services between the two cities will commence on October 31 and operate twice per week, on Mondays and Fridays, with the 239-seat Airbus A321neo aircraft. Tickets are now available for purchase through the airline’s website. Further details can be found here. Basel will complement Wizz Air's operations from Ohrid to Dortmund, Memmingen and Vienna.

For OHD they are 12 eur ,probably they are because they decide to return this route...

Now they are starting BSL as completely NEW route (with incentives!) after they canceled it last year. What a shame.

They cancelled almost all routes from OHD because of the engine issues they had. They kept only Vienna...
Why not to get government money when they can ? If you have that chance would you get ? Of course you will.
Same did Easyjet with SKP-GVA , they cancell the route , now in November they will re launch again with government money :))

You keep claiming about easyjet and Geneva but there are no flights on sale for this route in winter and they have already published their winter schedule.

I am not claiming anything , I am just saying that route and airline were selected in the public call , but will they launch it or not it is airline decision. For now the only routes from that call that are still not scheduled are Dubai and Geneva. And Basel was expected to be scheduled earlier but they scheduled now.. there is still time and I am sure that 2 routes will be launched as planned.

I'm interested in this as well. I'd also like to know if this route is being used for transfers or if it's more P2P.

I live in Canada , and couple days ago I wanted to book for coming back in Macedonia on holiday , Toronto-Istanbul-Ohrid is fully booked in July,August,September and Octomber , there is also few seats left for December. So I assume the LF is great.
