Ljubljana Airport retains growth momentum

Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport registered a second consecutive month of strong growth by handling 151.849 passengers in May, representing an increase of 13.5% on the same period last year. The figure was achieved despite aircraft movements declining 0.3%. Over the January - May period, the airport welcomed 525.742 travellers through its doors, an improvement of 4.5%, or an additional 22.771 passengers. The figure is still down 21.6% on the pre-pandemic 2019. Passenger numbers are expected to grow in June as well, with scheduled capacity up 17.3%

      Transavia France is not calculated in this number. They had 4914 sheduled sits in May. Transavia's number 6804 is only from Amsterdam.

      Based on current scheduled equipment, Lufthansa will still have some 4.000 seats more in June. In July, difference will be around a 1.000 seats.

      Such as? TK flies to VIE, VCE, ZAG, BEG... only to IST. It would be nice seeing Pegasus or A jet in LJU, or some widebody flights with TK.

      No point. Turks need visas for Slovenia and no other city in Turkey is attractive for Slovenian tourists. Also, only hub is Istanbul. Probably some summer charters to Antalya or Bodrum already flies

    Which ac movements were declining? All ac incl small private or biz aircrafts or the number of flights operated by airlines? Dont we have more flights considering KL and EW add ons, than last year?
