NEWS FLASH

Skopje Airport welcomed 258.615 passengers through its doors in April, representing an increase of 8.5% on the same month last year. This is despite the number of aircraft movements being reduced by 0.9% to 1.902. Compared to April 2024, Pegasus Airlines added the most scheduled capacity at the airport, with an addition 17.580 seats, followed by AJet and newcomer Transavia. On the other hand, the airport’s biggest airline, Wizz Air, still has 4% less capacity than last year. During the January - April period, Skopje Airport welcomed 854.161 travellers, up 1.5%, or an additional 12.544 customers. Strong growth is expected, with May capacity up 8.4% and June capacity growing by 16.7%.

Skopje is definitely returning to solid growth after more than 1.5 years of stagnation!
I have the feeling more new destinations are coming in the next period!

W6 causes very bad situation with all their cuts and cancelled routes , hopefully now that would be motivation plus to get another low cost carrier...

Ryanair would be a great addition although I personally think that if the rumours prove right, they would start with 2-3 routes from OHD.

Ryanair would be a great addition for our country. We need to learn the lesson from putting all eggs in one basket is not a smart option... so finger crossed for their entrance in Macedonia!!

Although infrequent, there is a bus line that many of us use and of course, you can always order a taxi and save a third of the fare. So be inventive in the meantime and don't feed ''the mafia'' :)

It's cheaper to fly out of SKP thank to get to SKP by land from the city or area. The BUS is OK-ish but not convinient.

They are promising with the new project to build the railway from the city center of Skopje to the airport. Lets see what will happend by the end of this year.
Btw ther is shuttle bus line with normal prices , and u can order a taxi at anytime for go to or go out of the airport , I dont know why is that so hard for you..

Edelweiss just dont really care about this market. They had more frequencies to Skopje in April than they have in summer which is kind of crazy. On a positive note they have 3 weekly to Ohrid which wasnt the case before
