NEWS FLASH
Skopje Airport welcomed 258.615 passengers through its doors in April, representing an increase of 8.5% on the same month last year. This is despite the number of aircraft movements being reduced by 0.9% to 1.902. Compared to April 2024, Pegasus Airlines added the most scheduled capacity at the airport, with an addition 17.580 seats, followed by AJet and newcomer Transavia. On the other hand, the airport’s biggest airline, Wizz Air, still has 4% less capacity than last year. During the January - April period, Skopje Airport welcomed 854.161 travellers, up 1.5%, or an additional 12.544 customers. Strong growth is expected, with May capacity up 8.4% and June capacity growing by 16.7%.

DeleteGreat performance in April , as well May and June 👏
DeleteSkopje is definitely returning to solid growth after more than 1.5 years of stagnation!
ReplyDeleteI have the feeling more new destinations are coming in the next period!
W6 causes very bad situation with all their cuts and cancelled routes , hopefully now that would be motivation plus to get another low cost carrier...
DeleteRyanair would be a great addition although I personally think that if the rumours prove right, they would start with 2-3 routes from OHD.
DeleteRyanair would be a great addition for our country. We need to learn the lesson from putting all eggs in one basket is not a smart option... so finger crossed for their entrance in Macedonia!!
DeleteFinally to see SKP growth 👏👏
ReplyDeleteIt was time to get back on the real path..
DeleteAdmin you dont have info for Transavia passengers numbers for April ?
ReplyDeleteI do not have the number of passengers it carried in April. The airline had 3.712 on the Skopje route in April.
DeleteOk thank you. If somehow you manage to find out this info please share with us in future😊
DeleteProbably 3k passengers served are not bad at all for April. Thank you.
DeleteBeautiful photo btw way! Props to the cameramen!!😃
ReplyDeleteA great plane spotter :D
DeleteIndeed!😃
DeleteSKP had a record 41 departures today, which didnt happen since 2023 summer season.
ReplyDeleteThats good to hear 👏
DeleteJune will be with great performance as well next months that coming no doubt for a good success... Geneva,Sttutgart,Larnaca are yet to bring more strong performance even after summer...
And SKP Airport will have a railroad connection to the city in 2099. Go taxi mafia!
ReplyDeleteAlthough infrequent, there is a bus line that many of us use and of course, you can always order a taxi and save a third of the fare. So be inventive in the meantime and don't feed ''the mafia'' :)
DeleteIt's cheaper to fly out of SKP thank to get to SKP by land from the city or area. The BUS is OK-ish but not convinient.
DeleteThey are promising with the new project to build the railway from the city center of Skopje to the airport. Lets see what will happend by the end of this year.
DeleteBtw ther is shuttle bus line with normal prices , and u can order a taxi at anytime for go to or go out of the airport , I dont know why is that so hard for you..
Hey Admin, I never hear anything on the numbers of Edelweiss. Is it that poor? Any info? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI asked for Transavia but no answer too...
DeleteThe airline had 5.916 seats on its Skopje flights in April. I do not have figures for passengers carried on each route at this point.
DeleteEdelweiss just dont really care about this market. They had more frequencies to Skopje in April than they have in summer which is kind of crazy. On a positive note they have 3 weekly to Ohrid which wasnt the case before
DeleteBravo
ReplyDeleteFor april it is more then good numbers✅️
DeleteEspecially the growth in June is crazy , July and August will be even more stronger..
DeleteBravo SKP
