NEWS FLASH
UK leisure carrier Jet2 has shelved plans to launch a new seasonal service between Bournemouth on the southern English coast and Dubrovnik next summer. The weekly flights were scheduled as early as last year and were due to commence on July 24, 2026. In a statement, the airline said, “As a successful business, we are continually reviewing our flying program and will adjust where required. This gives us the ability to add flights and holidays in response to demand, and very occasionally we may withdraw flights too. Following this latest review, we have decided to withdraw services to Malaga, Dubrovnik, Jersey, Reus and Verona for summer 2026 from Bournemouth Airport and are contacting independent travel agent partners who have made bookings to these destinations to let them know”. The airline’s plan to commence a new weekly flight between Glasgow and Dubrovnik from May 1 next year remains unchanged.
