NEWS FLASH

Sarajevo’s only scheduled service to Spain launched by Ryanair on March 31 is off to a solid start. By the end of June, the budget airline handled 10.307 passengers between Bosnia and Herzegovina’s capital and Girona. As a result, the airline registered an average cabin load factor of 77.9% between the two cities over the first three months of operations. Ryanair will continue to maintain two weekly services between the two cities throughout the upcoming winter season.

78% for Ryanair is everything but solid, especially having in mind that the route didn't start in the middle of winter, but effectively in April

Still don’t understand why they didn’t extend for winter the flights between Paris and Sarajevo, because I took it 7 times, 7 times was almost full maybe 2 seats was empty

Still very thin for them. They are expecting 93+% LF

Ryanair needs 100% in July and August for a route to work. Their annual load factor is in the 90s

This is a bit suspicious as the airport themselves claimed that this particular route had a 91% LF from its inception until mid-June when they were giving interviews for news agencies. Could it be a miscalculation of available capacity from ExYu?

No, it is not a miscalculation. These figures are provided by the Spanish airport operator AENA.

Isn't the AENA H1 report scheduled on 31.7

No, the figures for the first half of the year have been provided and the published figures are correct. In their statements, airport officials may be referring to one way loads or may not have included figures from the first several flights where loads are lower, particularly on the outbound service from Girona.
