Air Montenegro to conclude first codeshare agreements

Air Montenegro is set to unveil its first codeshare agreements by the end of the month. CEO Vuk Stojanović said the absence of such partnerships has been a disadvantage for the airline. While he did not disclose which carriers have been selected, Turkish Airlines is expected to be among the first partners. Mr Stojanović noted that, as part of a wider deal, Air Montenegro gave up three of its weekly flights between Tivat and Istanbul this winter, enabling the Star Alliance carrier to reinstate the service over winter. “It is part of a much larger arrangement that will bring significant benefits to Air Montenegro”, he said. Codeshare agreements allow airlines to expand their network reach, boost connectivity and offer passengers smoother, more convenient travel options without operating additional flights themselves.
