NEWS FLASH
The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the world’s leading authority for intellectual property including patents, industrial designs, copyrights and trademarks, has selected the Croatia Airlines tail design as one of one hundred standout works featured in the special publication “A Century of Design Registration 1925-2025”. Created by the airline’s in-house corporate designer, Ivana Ivanković, the updated tail design, unveiled last year, reinterprets Croatia’s well-known red-and-white chequerboard into a modern, dynamic and globally recognisable visual identity.
Speaking about the design last year, Ms Ivanković, said, “The core of Croatia Airlines’ visual identity consists of both a logomark and a logotype. The updated logomark now more closely reflects the design of our aircraft tail, the feature that makes Croatia Airlines so instantly recognisable. The shapes and colours of the Croatian flag remain essential to our brand image, reinterpreted into a dynamic, contemporary element. Red and deep blue, rooted in Croatia’s national heritage, serve as our primary colours, while secondary colours highlight our Southern European identity. Equally important is the compositional balance between our logomark and logotype with the Star Alliance brand. Through a modern design approach, the squares of the logomark are positioned to ensure the aircraft tail stands out immediately - a clear and confident expression of who we are”.

Unfortunately the only award OU will be getting for awhile
ReplyDeleteBrussels airlines be like „what about me?“
ReplyDeleteOk so you obviously cannot even differentiate the brands. Good there are experts. For some meat is also just meat.
DeleteLol looks like his joke went over your angry head. Next Delta should put its triangles on the tails of their planes.
DeleteSelo gori a baba se ceslja
ReplyDeleteYou slap 8 differently colored squares on a white background and you get a reward. Nice.
ReplyDeleteAnd why you didn't do it then?
DeleteWell they didn't actually receive an award. They were just listed within 100 exemplary designs.
DeleteFAN-tazija
ReplyDeleteBravo Hrvatska!
ReplyDeleteShame the airline doesn't make a profit
ReplyDeleteVery good and recognizable design.
ReplyDeleteI would prefer OU were very good and recognizable airline, even with bad design
DeleteProfit and competent management would be a good start.
DeleteOther on the list are a melon shaped chocolate box and a 2015 Skoda front gille and a flying car concept. Also they have like 4 things picked for the period 1925 to 1965, cause i guess ''modern art'' still wasnt a thing then. Oh i absolutely love the randomness of ''modern art''.
ReplyDeleteOk hater.
DeleteWow, NIKE and Adidas better watch out!! This is really a joke, a few squares on a white background??
