NEWS FLASH

Air Serbia has today surpassed its 2024 end-of-year passenger result and is on course to overtake the all-time annual record set by its predecessor JAT Yugoslav Airlines in 1987. The Serbian flag surpassed the 4.4 million passenger mark today, December 19. Its CEO, Jiri Marek, said, “This is a historic moment for our company. We have broken records and shown that the domestic airline can compete with the leaders in the aviation industry. The economic impact of Air Serbia on the total GDP of the Republic of Serbia amounts to about 1.4%, which confirms the importance our company has, not only in air transport, but also in the overall economic development of the country. Our focus remains on the quality of our service, expanding the destination network and strengthening long-haul flights. Aviation is a dynamic field, and Air Serbia is a strong and stable company that continues to grow. Our goal is to welcome 2026 with even more ambitious plans and records”.

Impressive results for the small airline. The gouvermant of Serbia did not make a mistake by creating and making a clear mission and vision for JU. By 2030 JU is going to be a major player in the region.

Bravo JU, mix of ATR, a320,330 family and e jets made small hub as a BEG versatile. Personally didn't really believe that JU would made it, but congrats! In new years with new fleet of NEO's and E2's ;).

Focus on service quality, quality and quality in every statement made but nothing done in reality. Plane interiors are getting worst and worst, BEG ground handling is hit and miss, catering without improvements. Where is really that focus on service quality?

Belgrade will never be a New York or St Petersburg. Neither will Air Serbia be an Emirates or Singapore Airlines. So my point is this. Even small, offer the best of what you can offer, strive for that illusory perfection, and success will follow. If you remain mediocre, you will always be regarded as just an also ran.

Unfortunately JU is stuck at this mediocre level and they are not budging. Meanwhile their CEO speaks of quality excellence all the time.

Those records are hurting him, he is trying hard to convince the world Air Serbia is bad, but reality is completely different, Air Serbia reaching new heights while his impact is weaker and more pathetic.

These figures will translate to another profitable year. Meanwhile, haters will continue to claim that Air Serbia is not successful and continue to claim that the Serbian government is running the show.
