NEWS FLASH
Swiss International Air Lines is further increasing frequencies on its service between Zurich and Ljubljana. Starting March 29, the carrier will add another daily flight, for a total of three per day, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, while flights on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays will increase from one to two. A new late evening departure is being added on the route, arriving in the Slovenian capital just before midnight, and commencing its return after six in the morning the following day. As a result, Swiss will maintain eighteen weekly rotations on the route, up from eleven weekly in summer 2025. During the January - October period, Swiss handled 107.990 passengers on the route. The figure represents a year-on-year increase of 6.9%.

very good. Two new early morning departures in SS season - Amsterdam and Zurich. Hopefully we get also Paris and Munich one day
ReplyDeletePlus a 04.30 departure to BEG
DeleteSince when?
DeleteGreat. Now we are just waiting for Vueling to schedule summer flights and Wizz & maybe LOT to increase frequencies.
ReplyDeleteStill no Barcelona flights for the summer?
DeleteNope, I dont know what they are waiting for.
DeleteThey're edging us
Deletealso Airbaltic could easily fly in April and May to Gran Canaria ... and SEP and OKT.
DeleteThey could easily fly entire year
DeleteVueling is putting flights on sale as we speak
DeleteSeems like only 2x weekly...a shame
DeleteThis is definitely not the final schedule, half of the summer months are still not scheduled.
DeleteSo in the peak summer we'll have 4 morning departures: Air France E190, KLM E295, Lufthansa A320, Swiss A220
ReplyDeletedoes airfrance fly morning departure?
Delete05JUL-30AUG they have days 3,5,7 an add dep at 0630h to CDG. So during this period LJU will have 4 morning departures
DeleteAnd Air Montenegro didn't sheduled summer season between Podgorica and Tivat to Ljubljana. Also we waiting if Lufthansa can replaced flight between Munchen and Ljubljana with Air Dolomiti E 195.
ReplyDeleteBravo Fraport!
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting what fierce competition can trigger: KL is introducing a second daily flight to LJU, including an early morning departure, and Swiss is already responding with six additional departures, including seven early morning departures. Whether LH's capacity expansion has anything to do with KL's second flight is unknown, but it's quite possible, as LJU airport already knew about the second KL flight at the beginning of November, when LH had not yet published any expansion in its flight schedule.
ReplyDeleteI think LX's move is the right one, but I would have expected two flights a day rather than 18 flights a week. I found out about it yesterday evening when Swiss informed me by email that I had to change one of my booked flights. LjU is really having a run these days. If they continue like this, they will reach 2 mio pax already by end of 2028
+100
DeleteWhat is looks like this days and what we can expect next weeks LJU airport would have almost 2,3 million available sits and my opinion in 2026 LJU would be welcomed more than 1,9 million passengers.
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic news! In the most ideal, poetical world now Klm-AirFrance group decides to schedule more AF flights to Paris, with daily early morning departures. It would be nice but AF was only reducing Ljubljana in the last year.
ReplyDeleteThey are also a great option. When booking flights from Ljubljana, they usually offer the best prices and connection times compared to LH, KLM and others. But it could be just my experience.
ReplyDeleteSo what's yet to be scheduled/updated for the next season?
ReplyDelete-LOT
-Lufthansa to Munich
-Air Montenegro to Tivat
-Air Montenegro to Podgorica
-Vueling to Barcelona
-Israair to TelAviv
-JU to Belgrade
-Wizzair to Skopje
Anything else?
I think the only downgrade in Ljubljana is Transavia going from 4x to 3x weekly on ORY route (and AMS removal)
DeleteMaybe Turkish triple daily, now that it has competition in Pegasus on Istanbul Sabiha airport.
DeleteMaybe Norweagia add one flight weekley on Copenhagen and increase to 3 weekley.
Gp Aviation to Priština more then one weekley.
And we still wait new routes by Easy Jet and maybe others.
Another downgrade is the loss of Eurowings and Norwegian starting CPH one month later. To the commenter @12.02, I really doubt Norwegian will increase the flights cause they are not doing the best. Their LF is only between 75 and 85 %, worse than in 2024.
DeleteI really hope EasyJet thinks of adding additional LGW flights. The price for one way ticket is already way above 100 pounds, and we are not even in 2026 yet...
ReplyDeleteA very reasonable price, how do you expect airlines to make a profit?
DeleteOver 200€ for a return ticket on a lowcost carrier is insanity. You can fly to USA from Munich for 350€ return, you can’t tell me that there isn’t a demand for more/cheaper flights.
DeleteI just hope they bring at least 4 new employees for ground handling, to boost current staff of 14..
ReplyDeletePS: Kaj je s pizzami za redno registriranje odmorov za malico?!!!
A niti pizza zabave ne dobite? :/
