NEWS FLASH
Hainan Airlines plans to deploy its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft on flights between Beijing and Belgrade throughout the first quarter of 2026, compared to the usual Airbus A330-300 aircraft. The Dreamliner will be utilised on January 24 and 27. In February, all of the Chinese carrier’s flights will be maintained with the Dreamliner, while in March, the 787-9 will be used on five flights, on March 3, 7, 10, 14 and 17. The two aircraft types have the same capacity of 292 seats and the same hard product. Further equipment changes remain possible.

Wow what a livery

DeleteHainan has four of them in that special liveries.
DeleteChance of seeing one of them at Belgrade is thus high.
Please let it be the Kung Fu Panda livery please
ReplyDeleteWhat is the difference in capacity?
ReplyDeleteIt says in the text
DeleteFFS just read the very small article
Delete@11:29 seriously?
DeleteWill Turkish deploy wide widebody again? Few days ago there was B777 on BEG route
ReplyDeleteBut it was a freighter if I remember correctly
DeleteNo it was a passenger plane that operated TK's morning flight.
DeleteOh cool, then I saw a freighter on another occasion
DeleteIs it only me not being impressed with Dreamliners in comparisson to A330? I mean yes - the new tech is there, the electronic blinds, IFE etc, but the overall feel is somehow more "plastic" to it, and most importantly - the 3-3-3 configuration is less "practical" than the 2-4-2 for the long flights(?)
ReplyDeleteAgree about configuration. But Dreamliner has one thing that can't be beaten or even compared to 330 (don't know about neos, speaking of 200/300) and that thing is physiology: In Dreamliner, you arrive to your destination with minimum 50 percent less fatique, much more relaxed, and in much better overall shape. My experience(s).
Delete^ all thank to the lower cabin altitude.
DeleteOn a 10+ hour flight, sleeping in a flat bed business class A330 gives you minimum 50 percent less fatique, you arrive much more relaxed, and in much better overall shape than in 9-across 787 economy seat. My experience.
DeleteSome people her e 🤣 Obviously I was comparing economy/main cabin/much cheaper and for majority of air travellers the only possible way to fly long-haul
DeleteIt is visible from my comment on configuration, typical economy one. Of course flat beds can't be compared with economy seats. But if we compare premium to premium, again Dreamliner wins, because of its more modern technology. And just btw I do fly C sometimes. Recently it was on Emirates. Flat bed. I just try to discuss aviation instead trying to belittle others and to show off. Cheers!
No, not trying to bellitle Pozdrav, just a funny tongue-in-cheek response based on your cabin altitude excitement on Dreamliner. Some people, like myself, are not impacted as much by it, I barely notice it. Particular seating config and even noise affect me more, but we are all different.
DeleteI would rather see them add a third weekly flight. Connections would be much better like that.
ReplyDeleteI'd rather see JU finally launching this route.
DeleteBe greatful for what we have!
DeleteMe too!
