NEWS FLASH
Sarajevo Canton Prime Minister Nihad Uk met with Ireland’s Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Adrian Farrell, during which the two discussed the introduction of flights between Sarajevo and Dublin. According to the officials, the service would significantly boost tourism flows, facilitate business travel and further strengthen ties between the citizens of the two countries. As part of these efforts, the two sides reviewed the outcome of a recent visit by a Canton Sarajevo delegation to Ryanair’s headquarters in Dublin. During a meeting with the airline’s management, discussions were held on expanding Sarajevo’s route network, including the addition of Dublin flights, which was described as a key step towards increasing tourism traffic in the Canton.

Will they get lucky with this 🍀
ReplyDeleteBiH citizens also have visa problem with Ireland.
ReplyDeleteI do not think SJJ could get DUB flights begore BEG.
Both will get them eventually, just when is the question.
DeleteTirana's getting DUB flights this year, same visa policy as for Serbia and BIH. Inbound tourism is close to zero now but it could change with direct flights, in my experience Irish people have some preference toward the region... I think if Tirana can sustain Dublin, Belgrade can too. Sarajevo&BIH have a lot to offer, maybe with some subsidies for the start...
DeleteBiH citizens don't pay any fees for the Irish visa and the embassy just opened in Sarajevo 2 weeks ago so the only cost would be potential translation of the accompanying documentation, which is negligible compared to fees for the UK or USA visas.
DeleteWait, what?
ReplyDeleteJust talk, not actually on the cards yet
DeleteVery much on the cards, already a part of the RYR expansion proposal for the summer of 2026.
DeleteGreat. Looking forward to it being official then
DeleteThey are seeking them but will they actually find them?
ReplyDeleteSame as SKP seeking but still couldnt get anything
DeleteI dont think demand from both countries is good enough for someone to launch those flights
Wizz doesn't fly to DUB so SJJ obviously has much higher chances with FR.
DeleteWould be nice if Aer Lingus offered the flights. Aer Lingus also offers a lot of US destinations which would be helpful in filling aircraft and giving another option to go to US.
ReplyDeleteBritish Airways to Heathrow would make more sense.
DeleteGood for skiing in Bosnia.
ReplyDeleteIf Bosnia and Sarajevo invested half as much in skiing marketing as places like Bulgaria, Turkey or Georgia do it'd have 200+k passengers every month.
DeletePlease Aer Lingus.....
