That is a big and an extremely needed increase. Does anyone have any idea how the Pegasus flights are selling?
ReplyDeleteWell the growth was expected considering last year's poor results. There was an article here months ago that LJU will have very strong growth during the first quarter of the year.
ReplyDeleteCorrect, relative growth compared to 2025 is misleading due to poor results in Q1 2025. This January is still 16% down from Januar 2019, this is not even positive if you deduct Adria transfer passengers. Overall - positive trend, but far from spectacular and still worse than competitive airports in the region.
DeleteHow many were Adria transfer passengers?
DeleteLove how people here think Adria was Emirates and that 90% of its passengers were transfers. Lol.
DeleteAround 15%.
DeleteAdria had over 50% market share in LJU and connections were depending on the year around 35% of that.
DeleteIt's a pity that easyJet seems to have forgotten about their Berlin route.
ReplyDeleteyou cant get over this Berlin route cant you ? :) LJU will not be any better airport with this route hah. Summer leisoure destinaions are well needed.
DeleteNo, I really can't haha. It seemed like easyJet was on a roll at the end of 2025, so I had high hopes. But yeah I agree that some greek islands and spanish coastal cities are way more needed.
DeleteI can tell you top priority directly from Fraport are: Berlin, Stockholm, Vienna, Tirana and Sofia. (i am the one who told you for canary island and UK destinations... so Berlin will be back sooner or later).
DeleteInteresting, but why are they so clueless about the real need for summer destinations?
DeleteSummer destinations are mostly covered by charters. Most Slovenians prefer that way of travel.
DeleteI am no expert on this but isn't LJU losing hundreds of thousands of passengers choosing neighbouring airports? They are not flying charters there.
Delete@10:42 hahaha LOL not true ? So majority of 200 k passengers from Trieste airport only in 2024 are from charters. Add numbers from Zagreb, Vienna, Venice, Budapest, and Graz ... also ?
DeleteAdmin@10:42 Krasnja is that you??
DeleteAh ja, the FDS guy is policing the comment section again, I see.
DeleteBravo Fraport!
ReplyDeleteLJU added almost the same number of passengers as Zagreb in January.
ReplyDeleteAdmin, which month will see the most capacity increase this year in Ljubljana? August?
ReplyDeleteI think it should be April or May as some airliners are adding frequencies out of the peak summer season (extending the peak season). I hope Admin has more data.
DeleteBetween March and September, all months currently have capacity growth exceeding 20%, with April and June with the highest growth rate of 24.9% and 24.2%, respectively.
DeleteActually great news from Ljubljana. Let's see if anything else is added, Tirana by the end of the summer could happen
DeleteIn Avgust capacity increase 45.000 passengers. 199.000 in Avgust 2025 and 244.000 in Avgust 2026.
DeleteWhich changes will we see in Ljubljana this summer? Who is increasing frequencies and equipment and starting flights?
