KLM has handled over 570.000 passengers since resuming flights between Amsterdam and Belgrade in 2021 following an almost thirty-year hiatus. The Dutch carrier marked five years since returning to the Serbian capital yesterday. This summer, the airline has 113.740 seats on the Belgrade market, maintaining two daily flights between the two cities, with all services scheduled on the Embraer E195-E2 aircraft.
Commenting on the route, Razvan Radut, Sales Manager for the Air France-KLM Group, said, “We are proud to mark five years since KLM’s return to the Belgrade - Amsterdam route, restoring a connection with a long and significant history. Over the past five years, we have seen strong demand from passengers in Serbia, both for travel to the Netherlands and for onward connections across KLM’s global network. With two daily flights from Belgrade, we continue to provide travellers in Serbia with even more convenient and comfortable access to a wide range of destinations around the world”. Belgrade Airport’s Chief Commercial Officer, Miodrag Mirković, noted, “Over the past five years of successful cooperation, around 570.000 passengers have travelled through Belgrade Airport with KLM, significantly strengthening tourism, business and cultural ties between Serbia and the Netherlands”.
