Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport has added five new approach category "C" parking positions in front of the cargo terminal as of yesterday. Although these stands were previously used by general aviation aircraft, recent modifications have enabled the area to accommodate ATR72 and Dash 8 Q400 planes as remote bus gates. A Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM) has been issued to inform pilots and airlines of the introduction of the new parking positions. This change will now enable the introduction of a wide-body aircraft parking position at the E apron, which has been
previously reported.

How many stands for schedule operations does BEG now have?
ReplyDeleteA1-A16
DeleteB1-B10
C1-C14 (soon C18)
E1-E4
N1-2
W1-2
Is there a precise map of all existing stands? I am really trying to understand new alignment, but I can't
DeleteIn the headline photo, the area after the gates that has an apron but no jet bridges are the new remote stands for ATRs.
DeleteThere is precise map on SMATSA eAIP.
DeleteN and W stands will be used for general aviation from now on (at least until winter).
DeleteGreat! Now demolish cargo center and relocate it, and then extend A pier for these parking positions.
ReplyDeleteWhat about GA Apron?
ReplyDeleteLooking at the aerial pic, by just relocating part of the road next to the airport they could add a whole lot more space
ReplyDeleteThis is good because it will also reduce bussing times.
ReplyDeleteHopefully this is a sign that JU is willing to add more ATRs
ReplyDeleteDon't think they will
DeleteSo where do the biz-jets and small aircraft park from now on?
ReplyDeleteWhat parking positions is Prince aviation using now?
ReplyDeleteGood news.
ReplyDeleteBus route is sadly always crowded with other vehicles (lagguage drivers, mechanical or private cars) blocking the passengers bus to get to the bus gates.
ReplyDeleteThe whole passage is very narrow, although there is enough space. So the bus always has to wait until the path is clear
Actually, new E stands are now much closer to bus gates than B stands, where bus has to make a significant detour.
DeleteYes, these new positions will increase bus usage, which means we can have more departures from bus gates.
DeleteFrom what I read historically here, BEG seams to be struggling for space despite the expansion.
ReplyDeleteAirport is concepted in early60,s extened 1979, and now very badly and without any vision again extended few years ago. Also with very bad arhitechtural design( only 3 toilets on arrival on 28 gates
DeleteYeah its definatly not a design beauty thats for sure.
DeleteBravo BEG 🇷🇸🇷🇸🇷🇸
