NEWS FLASH
Air China, which last week commenced sales for its upcoming new Beijing - Bucharest - Zagreb service has now put ticket on sales for the short intra-European sector. The airline has been granted fifth freedom traffic rights between the two cities from September 4. Tickets can be purchased through Online Travel Agents such as Trip.com and Expedia, with one-way economy class fares currently starting at 228 euros. Fifth freedom rights are those enabling an airline to carry passengers between two foreign countries as part of a route connected to its home country.

Fifth freedom flights are not uncommon. Examples of other intra-European services include Emirates between Larnaca and Malta, Ethiopian Airlines between Vienna and Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo, as well as Geneva and Manchester, Sichuan Airlines between Istanbul and Athens, as well as Singapore Airlines between Milan and Barcelona.

A reasonable 228euros...thats gonna be popular...
ReplyDeleteand that's one way...
DeleteThere are return tickets for around 320€ but that remains very expensive for such a short flight.
DeleteOh yeah. Way too much.
Deleteclearly with these prices they don't look to be taking many passengers. I guess its more of a bonus revenue until such time as flights are direct. JU have some good deals in October which are significantly lower. Might be fun to use the flight for fun (if one doesn't mind spending a bit more)
DeleteJU doesn't fly Zagreb-Bucharest.
Delete^ You know completely well what is meant
DeleteWhat does it mean? Air China is the only airline which will fly directly between two destinations. Lufthansa, Austrian, LOT or Air Serbia offer only transfer flights.
DeleteIt means JU have some good deals between Zagreb and Bucharest with a transit in Belgrade. So either you are deliberately obtuse or ignorant :) and i assume its the former.
DeleteSo? Other airlines have also good deals for transfer flights.
DeleteIndeed. And your point being?
DeleteAnd what's your point again? Oh yeah, it's cluttering a topic about Croatia with glorification of JU.
DeleteNot at all. Im not from the region and couldnt care less. But you clearly are do provincial you obsess about that. Examine yourself.
DeleteSure you are not from the region. 😂
DeleteIndeed. From 2hours 30 flight away
DeleteWhy only through OTA?
ReplyDeleteZašto karte Zagreb - Peking nije moguće kupiti preko web stranice Air China ili skyscanner ?
ReplyDeleteIt shows on Skyscanner.
DeleteSkyScanner does not sell tickets, it's just a way to find good deals.
DeleteI just checked the tickets, and instead of flying to Beijing through Bucharest one can go to Vienna with Austrian Airlines, and there catch Air China 842. And this will 2:50 hours faster and only 22€ more. Funny.
ReplyDeleteCompetition is good for consumers indeed.
DeleteSome people really have too much spare time and no quality ideas how to make most out of it
