Ljubljana Airport has completed the largest construction phase of its main apron renovation project. The works, which began in March, involved the replacement of approximately 37.000 square metres of worn pavement, including 16.000 square metres of new concrete aircraft parking stands and 21.000 square metres of new asphalt pavement. As a result, all aircraft stands adjacent to the terminal have returned to service, improving operational flexibility and aircraft handling during the peak summer season.

Construction is now continuing on the northwestern section of the main apron and remains on schedule for completion in October 2026. Once finished, the upgraded apron will accommodate 22 Code C aircraft stands, four Code D stands and two Code E stands, strengthening Ljubljana Airport's capacity for future growth.
