Trip Report

A quick report for a quick flight. Flew the 07:30 morning departure from Podgorica to Belgrade. This flight was taken in February this year and although some months have passed since, I don't think much has changed in terms of the flight experience. It was almost empty at the terminal so check in was quick.

The aircraft for today’s flights was the E195, registered 4O-AOB which is 15 years old.

The cabin was, in my opinion, well maintained on this plane and the seats were comfortable, although the leather was really showing its age, as were the safety cards. Perhaps they can reupholster the seats. However, the seat itself was well padded. There is also a thick in-flight magazine called “Air Time”. When I say thick, I mean it has over 100 pages. I found it a good read. It seems to be published four times per year.

The cabin was, I would say, about 90% full on this occasion. There were no business class passengers, or at least I don’t think there was as the curtain was folded and lifted the entire flight. That does not mean that someone didn’t actually pay for business, as we have heard recently that this seems to be something that they do.

Anyhow, the crew was very nice and polite. During the short flight time, they managed to hand out a bottle of water and a little fig cookie.

We landed in Belgrade 7 minutes early and parked at the A gates. It took a bit of time to walk down to the arrivals hall, while passport control was very quick. In my opinion Belgrade seems to have one of the quickest passport scanners in Europe. The whole process from handing the passport to the police officer to getting it handed back to me took under 10 seconds.

Overall, I found the flight to be good with nice crew and good seats. I do like the Embraer, the 2x2 seating arrangement and the big windows.

There is nothing much else to mention for a short flight like this, but considering it is the busiest air route within the ex-Yugosphere I thought it would be appropriate to share my experience 😊

TGD is a great airport as long as there are no more than 2 flights departing at the same time. Even then it can be a problem. I flew recently and there was JU A320 and TK B738 and the departures area was packed. You could barely find place to sit.

Nice report. Despite the recent negative reviews of Air Montenegro, my experience with them has been more than excellent so far. I frequently fly on the Belgrade–Podgorica route, and I can honestly say that they offer comfortable aircraft, more affordable ticket prices than their competitor, and more convenient flight schedules. And their fig cake is truly a specialty!

I was also a frequent flyer and just gave up as their crews really hate their jobs unless they are talking about it on TV. They don't even collect trash and just sit or hang out in the cockpit, always. Sad. Makes Air Serbia look like golden age of Pan Am!

I also fly to TGD and I flew with them a few times when JU was too expensive or sold out.
They are horrible, do you know that in BEG they don't have online check-in so you have to wait in line even if you don't have luggage.

Absolute dumpster fire of a business. No thanks.
