Lufthansa subsidiary Discover Airlines will operate flights on behalf of its parent company between Munich and Belgrade this coming winter season, beginning October 25. The services will be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft under Discover Airlines’ own designator code and flight numbers, with tickets available for purchase through Lufthansa’s website. Marketed as Lufthansa’s leisure arm, Discover offers both business and economy class on the route. Flights between Frankfurt and Belgrade will continue to be operated by Lufthansa mainline throughout the winter.

Lufthansa has increasingly turned to other Group carriers to maintain parts of its Munich network following the closure of its CityLine subsidiary earlier this year. This winter, the airline will suspend flights between Munich and Ljubljana, while services from the Bavarian capital to Zagreb are due to be taken over by Air Dolomiti from January 1. However, tickets for the latter are yet to go on sale through official channels.
Very bad that ZAG-MUC tickets are not available for purchase.

DeleteLufthansa isn't playing around guys. This afternoon they are sending the A321 to BEG from MUC.
DeleteWhile JU went yesterday with ATR72, so it's really a tough game. But honestly JU is fighting here for P2P against W6 (again).
DeleteJU should invest in promoting onward connections via BEG from MUC.
DeletePremium passengers will mostly fly Discover I guess and some long haul transfers too, but JU could push with E-jets for sure and chop a sweet portion of cake.

ReplyDeleteStrange changes, for example this winter 5/6 daily MUC-BRU are handed over to SN, Lufthansa is keeping just one daily in the morning.
