Qatar Airways will operate a select number of flights between Doha and Zagreb with its wide-body Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft in October. The oneworld member will deploy the 254-seat jet on the route on October 3, 12 and 23, representing a notable increase on the usual 132-seat A320. Qatar Airways’ Boeing 787-8s feature 22 business class seats and 232 in economy, with all aircraft equipped with Starlink internet connectivity. Equipment changes remain possible at this stage.

ReplyDeleteNo, it's flights that have been sold out or nearly sold out for weeks already even though they are two weeks away. It's because Qatar reduced frequencies on the Zagreb route so passengers across multiple flights were all put onto these remaining four services per week, and the flights filled up straight away.

DeleteI think they would like to provide the region with a bigger airplane, instead of each airport individually.
ReplyDeleteThe region can't sustain year-round widebodies just yet. DXB-BEG is probably the closest route to that, but even there the yields are not quite at the necessary level. Give it a few more years.

DeleteInstead of 5x A320 (ZAG, BEG, etc...), they'll be serving one airport with 1x 787.

ReplyDeleteDont expect them in SKP very soon. They are barely flying to ZAG and BEG at the moment.
