Lufthansa reverses Discover deployment to Belgrade

Lufthansa has reversed its recent decision to deploy subsidiary Discover Airlines on services between Munich and Belgrade during the upcoming winter season. The German carrier now plans to operate thirteen weekly flights between the two cities using its own mainline fleet. Previously, Discover Airlines, Lufthansa’s leisure subsidiary, had been scheduled to operate the Munich - Belgrade route on behalf of Lufthansa. However, the flights would have carried Discover Airlines’ own flight numbers and airline designator code.

      No, not relatively. It's obviously lucrative if they are keeping the mainline to BEG. If it was relatively lucrative then they would have made the switch to Discover.

      It shows absolutely nothing. Lufthansa is all over the place.

      Discover flies to some of Lufthansa's most lucrative markets by the way. Prices to Funchal, Palma, Larnaca etc are the highest in Lufthansa's network and those are all Discover flights.

    That is bad news for JU.
    LH mainline aircraft, especially those equipped with Starlink Wi-Fi would be great and tough to compete with other than with a notable reduction in ticket prices..
