Air Serbia recorded its busiest September, third quarter and January - September period on record, with the airline carrying 3.800.465 passengers over the first nine months of the year, representing an increase of 5.8% or an extra 208.973 travellers. The airline operated 39.788 flights during the January - September period, up 5.4%. In September alone, it uplifted 536.503 customers, an increase of 11.7%, with an average cabin load factor of 82.6%. During the third quarter, between July and September, the carrier welcomed 1.737.977 passengers onboard its aircraft, an improvement of 6.5% on last year, with loads across its network averaging 82.5%.
Among Air Serbia’s most popular destinations in Q3 2026 were Tivat, Podgorica and Ljubljana regionally; while Zurich, Paris, Vienna, Frankfurt, London, Barcelona, Milan and Amsterdam were the most popular in Western Europe. In the wider Euro-Mediterranean region, Larnaca, Istanbul and Athens saw the most demand, while New York was the busiest long-haul destination. Between January and September, Air Serbia added nine new routes to its network, with a further three to follow by the end of the year.
Commenting on the results, Air Serbia’s CEO, Jiri Marek, said, “Our results confirm that Air Serbia continues to realise its growth potential and strengthen its position among the leading airlines in the region. This year, our development has also been recognised with major international accolades, including being ranked second among the best airlines in Eastern Europe by Skytrax and receiving the Airline Market Leader award at the ATW Awards. These accolades, together with our record operational and commercial results, confirm that we are on the right track and provide additional momentum for the company’s further development”. He added, “We will continue to enhance our network, service quality, and Serbia’s connectivity with key markets, to offer our passengers even more travel opportunities and an even better experience on every flight”.

Good results
ReplyDeleteOh those are exceptionally strong numbers
ReplyDeleteCongrats JU
ReplyDeleteJust asking for comparison, isn't the LF of 82.5% during peak summer months a bit low?
No OU's 60% is much better.
Delete82.5% over 100 routes is quite good.
DeleteКада би прочитали текст са разумевањем и прочитали да се ради о ЛФ за период јан-сеп онда би могли да коментаришете. Овако, функционално неписмени, боље да не коментаришете.
DeleteLH Group Airlines 2025 for Q3 had 87.7%. This just for comparison.
DeletePiše između Jula i Septembra = treće tromesečje
Delete09:03^
DeleteWas wondering the same. It is a low LF for a top season.
@09.26 that is just 4 points more. Nothing spectacular.
DeleteBut ok, you found something to get you through the day :)
Yes only four months but those are the strongest four months in the year.
Delete4 points not months and a quarter has three months. Ok, now I know you have no clue what you are writing.
DeleteLF is very good. Everyone who knows something about aviation, knows that. AS opened many new routes and that is amazing LF in total. So, cry, cry jealous ones....
Delete.@10:20 +1
Delete"In September alone, it uplifted 536.503 customers, an increase of 11.7%, with an average cabin load factor of 82.6%."
DeleteIt's clearly September LF, not whole quarter or peak summer months. Stop making thing up
^
Delete"During the third quarter, between July and September, the carrier welcomed 1.737.977 passengers onboard its aircraft, an improvement of 6.5% on last year, with loads across its network averaging 82.5%."
For comparison, JU's CLF for 2013 was 64%, 2014 67%, 2019 72% and 2023 78,8%.
DeleteEuropean average CLF for 2025 according to IATA was 84,8%. This includes airlines such as Ryan Air that had a CLF of 94%. Comparing legacies, JU is pretty much average or up to a couple percentage points lower depending on the airline we are comparing them with.
Looking above, the improvement has been drastic considering JU was previously in line with airlines such as RO and OU.
And the fact they launched so many routes, including long-haul.
DeleteBravo Air Serbia 🇷🇸🇷🇸🇷🇸
ReplyDeleteI am really surprised that Milan is among the best giving that JU is flying it mostly now with Embraer, comparing that it used A319 back in times
ReplyDeleteThe difference isnt huge in seats and a full Embraer is better than 65% full a319. I would assume its quite a price senstaive route given wizz in Bergamo serves point to point travel just as well. Good to see that Milan is doing so well for JU. Used the route myself.
DeleteAgree with you, but for example there is Rome which is operated with mix of Embraers and A319/A320, but it's not on the list. I would guess that for Rome is bigger demand than for Milan's since they are deploying larger aircraft
DeleteI feel like every time they just copy paste this part with most demand, I mean it's logical but I never remember single change :)
DeleteGood job Air Serbia ! I have a trip from Athens to Prague on 29th of october and back on 3rd of November with Air Serbia via Belgrade for vacation . They were the cheapest option with 8 kg + 23 kg luggage . 257€ overall . Aegean and skyexpress wanted over 400€ for this type of luggage .
ReplyDeleteGosh. Thats still relatively expensive for a short European flight. Good to JU being competative but that route needs Ryanair or the like.
DeleteAdd 8 + 23kg to RY flight and price will be much higher than YU's 250€
DeleteFR dont fly from Prague to Athens so one cannot compare.
DeleteThe amount of triggered individuals in the comments is hilarious. Almost as funny as the amount of triggered individuals in the comments on the news that they started serving ice cream. 😂
ReplyDeleteSame hysterical haters. Lovers gonna love, haters gonna hate…
DeleteI think both sides are quite toxic, same goes for the JU fan club
Delete^ at least we know which toxic side you belong to.
DeleteAll the upset people 😂
Delete- 82%+ load factor is bad
- government allowed them to have these results
- they fly Embraer to Milan instead of Airbus
- you chose Air Serbia over Aegen that had double the price? 😡
^ you can add the guy below that they will be loss making in 2027.
DeleteLove is not toxic. Air Serbia is setting new records, this time three new records. People love champions.
DeleteSeeing him so desperate, I know we are doing exceptionally well. Keep up the good work, Marek!
DeleteWe can not compare Air Serbia and LH, those are different categories- I think that 82,5% is great result for AS. That is like comparing Yugo and BMW.
DeleteExactly, you cannot blindly compare LH Group with Air Serbia. However, Air Serbia should work towards greater LF, at least above 85% during high summer season. Yearly LF should be above 80%.
DeleteJU's CLF for 2013 was 64%, 2014 67%, 2019 72% and 2023 78,8%.
DeleteAre you suggesting that JU has done nothing to improve their load factor?
It has done a lot, and that should be paid respect. But they have to continue, and they are on a good path with Embraers in the fleet.
DeleteThe calm before the storm. If fuel prices stay high, Air Serbia will be loss making in 2027 like all other Airlines.
ReplyDelete😂
DeleteLol....
DeleteIf the whole industry has the same problem, like in 2020 and 2021, then Air Serbia will also recover when geopolitical circumstances change
DeleteI have to disappoint you, but JU is getting jet fuel from NIS with old prices, just as it is hedged. Sorry to ruin another day
DeleteIf it's expensive for every airline, why do you think they would keep price level bellow profit margin?
DeleteFor sure on outbound flights and short returning flights, but a lot of fuel is purchased abroad which comes at higher cost.
DeleteAir Serbia passenger numbers grew 3% in 2025. In the first 9 months of 2026, it grew almost double that at 5.8%, showing resilience when facing uncertainty and increased fuel prices.
DeleteIdemo dalje...
