NEWS FLASH
Eurowings will extend its seasonal flights between Mostar and Stuttgart through most of the upcoming winter season following strong performance on the route. The development was confirmed by Mostar Airport's Executive Director Ibrica Berberović, who said an agreement had been reached with the German low cost carrier following high loads on the route. “Following the excellent results over the past two years, it was agreed with Eurowings that flights to Stuttgart will become regular and year-round”, Mr Berberović said. He noted that Eurowings’ services from Mostar to Stuttgart and Dusseldorf have recorded load factors of over 90%. The Stuttgart route, which currently operates twice per week, will continue into the 2026/27 winter season for the first time. Based on the airline’s existing schedule, flights will initially run once per week during November and most of December, with additional services over the Christmas and New Year holiday period. Operations are currently scheduled to pause from mid-January until March 4 before resuming for the remainder of the winter season. Further timetable changes remain possible.

Eurowings restored flights between Mostar and Stuttgart in May 2025 following a public call aimed at improving the airport’s connectivity. The service initially ran once per week before increasing to two weekly during the peak summer period. The airline also maintains flights between Mostar and Dusseldorf.
Mostar Airport expects to handle more than 70.000 passengers this year. The airport is seeking further network growth in 2027, with Scandinavia, Turkey, Poland, Italy and additional destinations in Germany among its target markets. The outcome of its recent blitz public call for airlines to launch new routes in 2027 is not yet known.

This is good news. I wonder if there is enough demand for another weekly departure by air Serbia
ReplyDeleteOf course there is demand for more Air Serbia and Croatia Airlines flights per week to OMO, if it's possible for travellers from those flights to catch meaningful connections through BEG/ZAG.
