Airlines and airports from across the former Yugoslavia are attending the annual World Routes conference, one of the aviation industry’s leading global route development events. Taking place in Frankfurt after being relocated from its originally planned host city of Riyadh, the conference brings together representatives of airlines, airports and tourism authorities from around the world. The 31st edition, which opened today and runs until Friday, has attracted more than 230 airlines and delegates from over 110 countries, with more than 11.000 face-to-face meetings scheduled.
Airlines from the region participating in the event include Air Montenegro, Air Serbia, Croatia Airlines and ETF Airways, while attending airports include Belgrade, Dubrovnik, Ljubljana, Pristina, Pula, Sarajevo, Zadar and Zagreb, as well as TAV Macedonia, which operates Skopje and Ohrid airports.
The event also features a conference programme with high-profile industry speakers, including Emirates President Sir Tim Clark and Wizz Air CEO Jozsef Váradi. Among those participating in panel discussions is Air Serbia’s Head of Network Planning and Scheduling, Bojan Arandjelović.
EX-YU Aviation News is attending the conference and will bring you the latest developments from the event.
New LJU's CEO actually has time to attend those conference, contrary to the previous one. Good.
ReplyDeleteFollow his Instagram page... Not a week goes by without him attending something connected to LJU and new routes
DeleteAmazing! Could you share his handle? I couldn't find it.

DeleteDamn, just checked his Linked-In, he is totally invested in developing LJU. That is so amazing to hear and very welcome.
DeleteLol
DeleteThat Ljubljana sign is a LOVELY idea
ReplyDeleteWhat is the meaning of it? Did they want us to read "You'll love Slovenia" or what?
DeleteYou'll love sLOVEnia
DeleteA nice play of words with both LJU and Slovenia
Thats great!
DeleteCannot wait for some rumours
ReplyDeleteNot sure what is Wizz doing there. Isn't their business model more aligned with Subsidies Europe conference, assuming there is one?
ReplyDeleteoh really?
Deleteask for all the flag carriers milking their states for decades
excuse me what is the business model of Air Montenegro?
Deletelets put OU aside as they dont have a business model at all
p.s lufti just got a phat check to fly to Ohio, Columbus from Germany
@15:27 what a silly comment lol
DeleteThief saying "look at that guy, he is also stealing" does not make you any less of a thief. That type of distraction was used in comments above, but not a single one admitted subsidies are they only thing keeping Wizz from bancrupcy
DeleteStop sucking up with those lines like "That Ljubljana sign is a LOVELY idea" and "Damn, just checked his Linked-In, he is totally invested in developing LJU. That is so amazing to hear and very welcome."
ReplyDeleteGet more workers to handle those new routes and planes! Knuckleheads..
well said, 100 % agree
DeleteOf course, INI management is not interested. Pathetic.
ReplyDeleteINI attends Routes Europe which makes more sense. Btw attendance at this thing is very expensive.
DeleteWho cares about the airport, their job is secure and they can brag on all fronts how YU opened up two expensive routes despite FR canceling four low cost ones. Who cares that on some days the airport has two daily flights and on some none. Who cares that there is no coffee shop or a water fountain past security. INI keeps winning and they keep getting their paychecks. Winter results will be awesome.
