Ryanair will discontinue its seasonal flights between Bremen and Zadar in 2027 as part of its complete withdrawal from the German airport. The low cost carrier will cease all Bremen operations from April next year, citing high aviation taxes, airport charges and other operating costs. The move will result in the loss of approximately 500.000 annual seats at the German airport. Separately, Ryanair has announced substantial reductions to its Belgian winter schedule in response to higher aviation taxes, removing 20 routes and 1.1 million seats. However, its seasonal services from Charleroi to Dubrovnik and Sarajevo remain scheduled and on sale for summer 2027.

Admin maybe I'm odd but this article reads like Zadar is losing 500.000 seats
ReplyDeletehow when the first sentence says its Bremen-Zadar?
Delete@10:51 read it slowly.
DeleteBremen is losing 500k, not Zadar lol. This is more like a 15-20k reduction for Zadar, which isn't ideal but manageable
DeleteI don't think anyone thought it was Zadar.
DeleteThis, if you read carefully, tells a story about the crappy business model of Ryan and their dependence on subsidies and ratchet. They lost blackmail leverage on one airport and they cancel flying to another city where the ratchet is still in place. The blackmail base is getting narrowed
DeleteThe cuts in Belgium soley concern its opf from Zavantem
ReplyDeleteNo it does not. From Ryanair press release
Delete"Ryanair will cut 20 routes from Brussels and Charleroi airports this winter,"
Another day, another FR-W6 closed base… let’s see where they will end up
ReplyDeleteThe largest and 7th largest airlines in Europe. Next dumb obsevation?
DeleteSo, dumb, they closed more than 20 bases this year. They’re dumb if they don’t see what’s coming. So you do
Deleteenlighten us plz
DeleteHigher fares of at least 20-30% is what's coming next year.
DeleteIf you only count the bases they are closing and not the bases they are opening, you will never understand what's going on.
DeleteAnother year of stagnation for ZAD in 2027
