Zagreb Airport has said it will commence preparatory activities for the expansion of its main terminal building next year. It comes as the airport anticipates another record in 2027. Under Article 9.2.2(a) of the concession agreement, Phase 2A expansion works must begin within ninety days after December 31 of the first year in which that threshold is reached, which is expected next year. The subsequent triggers are 6.1 million passengers for Phase 2B and 7.3 million for Phase 2C, with the same ninety-day rule.
Phase 2A entails extending the terminal’s western boarding area and increasing capacity inside the building. Based on the concession agreement, the expansion requires three new departure lounges in the western boarding area, associated facilities and any necessary apron expansion, as well as internal reorganisation of terminal space to increase passenger capacity. The scope takes account of any improvement works already completed.

About time
ReplyDeleteBusiness lounge needs better staff, and a bit more space...
ReplyDeleteAn actual business lounge would be a nice touch
DeleteGood that they choose this instead of opening the old one
ReplyDeleteThats not what is written here (nor decided).

DeleteBravo Hrvatska!
ReplyDeletePred desetak godina ZAG i BEG imali su otprilike jednak broj putnika. Danas BEG ima 10 milijuna a ZAG niti 5. Bravo Hrvatska?
