NEWS FLASH
Start-up carrier FlyBosnia is in the process of selecting the airport it will serve in London once its commences flights. The airline previously said the UK capital will be one of its first scheduled destinations out of Sarajevo. Its CEO, Chris Gabriel, told the "AllPlane" portal, "FlyBosnia is considering both Gatwick and Luton airports, in part to exploit potential links with other carriers". The Sarajevo-based airline is expected to launch operations in May.
Sarajevo deserves only the best so LHR should be their only option.
ReplyDeleteIn what world is that possible? Even if there were any slots available for purchase, the price would be so high that this micro airline wouldn't even be able to afford it. Stop dreaming.
DeleteYou obviously don't know who their owners are. Their current size might be micro but their pockets are definitely not. All serious airports and capitals need a link with LHR.
DeleteThere's no available slots at LHR, even if sheikh loosens his money pouch. So end of story there.
DeleteThere are slots but they are either very early or very late, either way it couldn't work out of SJJ.
DeleteI think it’s better for Sarajevo to have good departure/arrival times at LGW/STN/LTN than to have bad slots at LHR. LTN is expanding its terminal and it takes the same amount of time to reach central London from LTN as it does from LGW. LGW would be preferable since it is closer and its holding patterns are a bit away from the central London airspace, but if getting good LGW slots is not possible LTN would be a great choice.
ReplyDeleteStansted is the best option.
ReplyDeleteWhy not LCY? It's very close to the downtown area.
ReplyDeleteThey can't operate the A319 at LCY
DeleteBA do.......to New York (via Shannon) and non stop back.
