NEWS FLASH
Luxembourg’s national carrier Luxair is considering launching flights to Ljubljana. It comes after the airline scheduled new services to Belgrade, Podgorica and Tivat this coming summer season. “The entire Balkan region is developing fast and we are considering new destinations such as Ljubljana. These are our plans. The route has not been scheduled but we are analysing all opportunities and we will launch new routes once the time is right”, Alberto Kunkel, Luxair’s Executive Vice President for Tour Operations, Sales and Marketing, said. Ljubljana has never had a scheduled commercial service to the Grand Duchy.
2 weekly flights with q400 seasonal could work
ReplyDeleteEven 3 considering Slovenian white-collar diaspora in LUX and other professionals traveling to EU institutions in LUX, 2 during winter.
DeleteMake it 4 then
Deleteif the 900 Slovenian community in LUX is fine with 2 weekly imagine how much potential there is for the tens of thousands MK and BH diaspora in SLO
Deleteneed only to find an airline :)
However, Slovenian white-collar diaspora in LUX is not really price sensitive, MK and BH in Slovenia on the other hand is.
DeleteI think LJU-LUX will be for tourists and not really much for diaspora
DeleteEU shuttle
ReplyDeleteLJU needs long-haul not LUX. JFK and YYZ seem to be more viable.
ReplyDeleteYeah, you might be right on this one. I would send an official note to Lux that LJU is not interested.
DeleteJFK from LJU? Reality check time.
DeleteLJU doesnt even have connection with Vienna, Rome and Prauge but you are talking about long haul lol
Deletei guess they have realised VFR traffic is less affected then business so they start looking for ethnic destinations (plus some EU heads travelling)
ReplyDelete* than business
DeleteLook at Luxair spreading it's wings over the Balkans ... Reminds me of Swiss a few years ago, and that didn't end well for them.
ReplyDeleteSlovenia keeps on winning
