Serbia acquires A320 full-flight simulator

NEWS FLASH

The Serbian government has acquired the latest generation full-flight simulator from Canadian manufacturer CAE for the training of future commercial pilots. The simulator will be based at the Aviation Academy in Belgrade. “Pilots as well as cadets from Air Serbia will no longer have to go to France and other countries to undergo training. We know how difficult it is to find simulator slots and they will have priority when it arrives in Serbia next spring. The agreement was signed in March, and the simulator will be delivered within a year. However, with the assistance of the Canadian government we expect it to arrive even sooner. Furthermore, we have signed an agreement for the purchase of a Flat Panel Trainer for the A320 from CAE, and we plan to acquire a Flight Training Device for Airbus helicopters”, Gabrijela Grujić, the Director of the Office for Dual Education and National Qualifications Framework of the Government of Serbia, said.

Croatian Airlines is getting simulator for A220 now, as part of leasing deal, well simulator will be bought outright, financed by the OU/Croatian Gov and EU funding.

How do you know that Croatian Airlines is getting an A220 flight simulator? Was not able to find any information online.

Palenki mentioned it, cause Croatian Airlines has to send their pilots to Lufthansa and there are 150 pilots that need to be certified and trained. For that money a new simulator can be bought easily. So government with EU funding from recovery funds will set aside some money for the simulators. New simulator is around €20 million so it won't be cheap.

Will this be the only commercial aircraft simulator in the ExYu? Is it for both A320 and NEO families, or at least upgradeable to NEO family?
