NEWS FLASH
Air Montenegro is increasing frequencies between Tivat and Belgrade this August due to strong demand. The carrier is introducing an additional rotation on Wednesdays and Thursdays for a total of 25 weekly flights. This August, there are over 100 weekly flights in each direction between Serbia and Montenegro, with Air Montenegro operating 39 weekly rotations and Air Serbia 62 weekly services.
Meanwhile, the Montenegrin carrier today rolled out its first mobile application. The app, available for both Android and IOS devices, enables passengers to book flights, choose additional services such as seat selection, excess baggage and pet options, as well as manage their booking.
Honestly, it would be more important to introduce codeshares and connecting flights than an app at this point.
ReplyDeleteTIV-BEG is where it makes the most money. You can't beat a duopoly.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, they could just have one E95 fly between BEG and TIV the whole day from June to September. It could easily make 4-5 daily rotations. Short flight, low costs and very good yields.
DeletePeople on this blog make jokes about airlines that fly a single route only but actually that is a very good business strategy.
DeleteAir Montenegro without a doubt can be competitive and profitable if they just do what Nemjee suggest.
If it would be fully privatized it would do actually!
But then you have a government owned airline that flies heavily unprofitable and subsidized routes to everywhere.
I didnt know that the flights to Rome are so cheap and yet there are people from Montenegro that are flying to FCO from Tirana.
ReplyDeleteAre Montenegrins still choosing Tirana to fly to x destination?
DeleteIf Wizzair was allowed to fly BEG-TIV it would dominate
ReplyDeleteMaybe if Montenegro joins EU
DeleteThat's the same as: If Air Serbia was allowed to fly Budapest-China it would dominate.
