NEWS FLASH
British Airways is discontinuing seasonal flights between London Stansted and Split. The carrier does not plan to restore flights between the two in the summer of 2026. Services from both London Heathrow and London City to the coastal airport will continue to be maintained. British Airways introduced services between Stansted and Split in 2024. It operated a weekly rotation between the two from May until early October this year with the 106-seat Embraer E190 aircraft.

Tbf it's very little capacity being lost, x1 weekly on an E190
ReplyDeleteI flew on that route in late August. Wonderful flight...there were however only of us 33 on board...6 in Business.
ReplyDeleteSad to see it go as it was very very useful for me
All of their Stansted routes are struggling. That's why they keep changing them to find something that works. This winter they are doing Stansted-Florence and the load factor is dire.
DeleteThe Stansted ops are just to utilise the aircraft during the LCY closure. There is currently a massive sign at Stansted saying Welcome BAck. But despite this i seems to be a rather lackluster operation.
DeleteLCY is pretty much closed on Sundays due to noise restrictions, so they tried to direct the capacity to STN. There was too much competition from STN to SPU already, so cant say this is a big loss.
ReplyDeleteI think actually only Jet2 flies to Split from STN but yeah the route was not well used as I understandz
DeleteIt would be nice if SJJ could get some seasonal British Airways flights to LHR.
ReplyDeleteI think TIV is the only route in the Balkans that can operate from LCY. In the coming years, this will be proven true (even though there is still not a single flight on that route).Premium pax.
