NEWS FLASH
Air Montenegro is in advanced negotiations to lease a fourth Embraer E195 aircraft, which it hopes will join the fleet either ahead of, or at the start of, the peak summer travel period. The carrier’s CEO, Vukadin Stojanović, acknowledged that spare Embraer capacity is currently scarce on the market. “What we are looking for is not readily available. However, we are now very close to securing a suitable aircraft under favourable leasing terms. This would give us full control of our fleet, similar to the former Montenegro Airlines, which operated four aircraft in its final years”, he said. Air Montenegro took delivery of its third E195 last year and has supplemented its fleet with wet-leased capacity during recent summer seasons.

They have reached Montenegro Airlines' size very quickly. In terms of passenger numbers they will be close this year too.
ReplyDeleteAny guesses where this extra capacity will be used?
ReplyDeleteEspecially after the summer season? Maybe some new destinations are in the works.
A 25% increase in available seating capacity is significant.
Remember they had a wet leased plane last summer. So they will replace that. But it was reported here that they plan some new routes in order to compete with Wizz.
