NEWS FLASH
Wizz Air will discontinue flights between Skopje and Lyon after less than a year of operations, with the final service scheduled for March 28. The route was launched on May 1 last year. The low cost carrier will continue to serve the French market from Skopje through its existing service to Beauvais.

It’s sad to see them go but this was expected. The demand for an A321 is probably simply not there. I wonder what the LFs were. Now they have more capacity to spread it to other routes which are successful.
ReplyDeleteProblem is that even new generations of "pecalbari" likes to haul a lot of stuff with them. With two suitcases Wizz is expensive.
Delete@anon1342, this is exactly why GP is so successful at PRN. In many of the cases that i made a comparison, they were cheaper than Wizz from SKP after the checked baggage is added.
Delete@anon 14:03 You are comparing GP with Wizz? GP will last few more years maybe and that it is.
DeleteSame for SOF
ReplyDeleteSame as what they did with Nis-Bratislava route. They tossed the coin and launched routes. Couple of months later they cancel them and move on to some new coin toss based decision.
ReplyDeleteThis route could work summer seasonal but year round no, there is no airport in Ex-yu that can handle year round demand for this route....
ReplyDeleteI was hoping it's Budapest. Too bad.
ReplyDeleteBudapest is not even launched yet
