Macedonia and Singapore recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on aviation cooperation. The agreement focuses on areas such as training, knowledge exchange and regulatory cooperation, including civil aviation oversight and capacity building. While it does not establish traffic rights like a traditional air service agreement, the MoU is expected to support institutional development and could serve as a foundation for deeper aviation collaboration in the future. As a result, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) will collaborate with its Macedonian counterpart to expand customised training programmes delivered to civil aviation professionals from Macedonia. The programmes will include on-the-job training opportunities at CAAS, as well as exchanges and study visits to promote the sharing of knowledge and expertise.
Dragi Stojanoski, the head of the Civil Aviation Agency of Macedonia, said. “This Memorandum reaffirms the commitment for implementation of ICAO’s highest international standards. The collaboration with a global leader like Singapore enables access to top professionals that will further raise safety and efficiency levels of the Macedonian sky”.
Han Kok Juan, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, added, “The training partnerships with Macedonia reflects Singapore's unwavering commitment to strengthening global aviation capabilities through knowledge sharing and collaborative training. As the aviation industry prepares for the next phase of growth, investing in human capital development is of critical importance”.

ReplyDeleteWe still dont have main Europe hubs my friend, we can only dream for flights like this .... we first need to be better connected on Europe continent, then we can think across the ocean
Delete^ Skopje is connected to Oz via Turkey etc. traffic between Singapore and Skopje is highly unlikely to ever be sufficient for a flight by any airline.
