NEWS FLASH

Air Dolomiti has scheduled flights between Munich and Zagreb from October 25, before fully replacing parent company Lufthansa on the route from January 1, 2027. As exclusively reported by EX-YU Aviation News early last month, Air Dolomiti will launch a daily service between the two cities at the start of the 2026/27 winter season, operating alongside six weekly Lufthansa mainline flights.

From January 1, Lufthansa will suspend its own services, leaving Air Dolomiti as the sole Lufthansa Group carrier on the route until early March. The airline will operate the flights on behalf of its parent company, but under its own flight numbers and airline designator code. Tickets can be purchased via Lufthansa's website.

@Admin, will Air Dolomiti remain in the summer as well?

Summer is far away but my guess is that Dolomiti will just double the number of flights

At this point, Lufthansa mainline is scheduled to return on the route from the start of the 2027 summer season and replace Air Dolomiti.

@Admin, the article is not correct. LH mainline operates in March already- so just January and February are without LH mainline due to shortage of planes.

Oh, thank God. I think ANALiticar would not survive loss of LH at ZAG.

It has nothing to do with the shortage of planes because they are cutting during the slowest and weakest period of the year. Let's see if they extend it in March as well. There is definitely too much capacity with OU to MUC.

Well the said expert today published about the Lufthansa Next Level Matrix program and said he is giving a world exclusive about it. In actual fact, Lufthansa published this a year ago. This site wrote about it as well but hey, the self proclaimed expert got it exclussively haha just a year late.

@ An. 16.23, The article is about Dolomiti from MUC. LH operates ZAG FRA, so it's not loss of LH in ZAG, but it's OK if you want it, nobody will blame you

This leaves an important hun disconnected from LJU, it’s indeed a shame. It could also mean higher ticket prices for ZRH and FRA transfers. For us in western SLO TRS with LH used to be okay, but they are no longer as competitive since ITA takeover. Who allows these ridiculous monopolies??
