€6 million loan for Montenegro Airlines

Thursday, December 17, 2015

The Montenegrin government has issued a state guarantee for a 6.491.405 million euro loan that Montenegro Airlines has taken out in order to refinance existing liabilities. The guarantee stipulates that the Ministry of Finance will pay the bank, without any objections, all the liabilities stipulated in the loan agreement upon the bank’s written demand, if the liabilities are not paid for by Montenegro Airlines itself. The carrier has been facing financial difficulties for years. It reported a net loss of 6.5 million euros during the first half of 2015, with its accumulated debt at 71.5 million euros.

  1. For that money they could have made TDG a year-round Wizz base and TIV a seasonal Ryanair base.

They would never know what to do with so many tourists.
